This whisky has the typical coastal character and spicy elements of Talisker. The aroma carries notes of seawater, white pepper, and dried seaweed, accompanied by gentle smokiness, hints of caramel, toasted bread, and brown sugar. There are also subtle flavors of dates, figs, plums, and a touch of milk chocolate. The palate has a creamy, almost oily texture, with additional notes of chocolate, some raisin sweetness, and a hint of bonfire. It includes black pepper, gentle mineral notes, whispers of sweet red fruits and ripe apples. Finally, there's a pinch of salt and some herbal peat in the lingering finish, which is medium to long, slightly dry, with hints of iodine, persistent pepper, gentle smokiness, and plums.
 
Overall, the Talisker DNA is fully expressed in this whisky, while also possessing elegant sweetness and fruity flavors, which can be attributed to the Cognac casks.
