The Laphroaig PX Cask is made with whisky matured in three types of cask - American oak casks, Quarter casks and the titular Pedro Ximénez casks. This leads to a flavour profile which ties together classic, powerful Laphroaig smoke and wine-like sweetness. It was originally released for travel retail.

Color: Gold.

Nose: Toffee sweetness with a hint of spice, which creates a smooth balance with the delicate phenolic aroma and fruity taste. Salty taste of seaweed, brine, vanilla sweeetness, honey, hay and peat.

Palate: Smoky and soft floral first, and then turns to a clear oak flavor, ending with a long-lasting sweetness. Peat warmness, smooth chocolate sweetness, toffee, heather and smoked peat.

Finish: Medium and oily. A little bittersweet and black olives in the aftertaste.
